Hi, I’m Ang!
Something Blue Home is an online design hub to help you design your space and make your house a home!
Here, the focus isn’t just on creating beautiful rooms — it’s about slowing down, and really connecting with your senses and intuition, to create a home that feels deeply personal and meaningful.
Helping you to craft soulful and timeless spaces that goes beyond aesthetic.
I have discovered from designing my own home (and from years of working with private clients), is that striving for perfection, following trends or prioritising aesthetics over functionality, will often leave you feeling disconnected from your home.
That’s why I created this space — to show you how you can too can create a home that’s rooted in simplicity, authenticity, and design as a form of healing.
I believe a home should be more than just a functional space—it’s a sanctuary. It’s where we recharge, find peace, and connect with ourselves and those we love.

my home design journey…
I took on my first major home renovation: a three-bedroom house by the sea. I began sharing my interior design journey online, driven by a desire to learn, find inspiration, and document the process. My goal was to create a peaceful retreat, rich in color and pattern, where I could find solace and rejuvenation. However, I quickly realised that while people were helpful, I struggled to find inspiration for “calm” homes that embraced colour. Every search seemed to lead to the same beige, neutral interiors—beautiful, but lacking individuality. Overwhelmed by the endless decisions and choices, I fell into the trap of playing it safe, decorating my home in what I thought was the ‘right’ way.
When lockdown hit, and there was nowhere to go but my house, I found myself feeling very dissatisfed with my home, it didn’t feel like me and I wasn’t connecting with it. So, I made the decision to turn of all the noise, all of Instagram and pinterest, and just let my emotions guide me. It was only when I started designing with an emotion-led approach— that I discovered a profound sense of peace and creative expression. I let go of the external expectations and began designing intuitively—crafting a home that nurtures my emotional wellbeing.
I’ve discovered from designing my own home (and from years of working with private clients), is that striving for perfection, following trends or prioritising aesthetics over functionality, will often leave you feeling disconnected from your home.
'I’ve refined my design approach through training as an interior designer, and working at interior design firms — and also whilst doing my own home renovation (on number 3! ) so I know first hand how overwhelming and the process stressful can be!
That’s why I have created this space — to give you guiding principles so that you can design your home yourself, for you.
My design ethos…
I’ve always believed that our homes should do more than look beautiful—they should feel like a true reflection of who we are. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the way design can transform a space into something comforting, uplifting, and inspiring. Whether it was reimagining my childhood bedroom or renovating homes around the world, I’ve seen how the right design can change how we live and feel.
Over the years, I’ve turned that passion into a career, working with leading design studios in the North West, freelancing internationally, and taking on commercial projects that push creative boundaries. Along the way, I’ve been named one of the Top 50 Home Influencers and shortlisted for Best Home Styling, but what drives me most is helping others create spaces they truly connect with.
Now, as an interior designer, I bring together years of experience and an emotion-led approach to craft homes that feel as good as they look. Whether you’re dreaming of a personal retreat or a standout commercial space, I’ll help you design something that’s beautiful, personal, and unapologetically you.
